Collaborative & Compassionate Care
How brave of you to be searching for a therapist. Getting to this point often means the struggles you are facing have gotten to a point where they are affecting your quality of life; and admitting this can feel defeating. At the same time, if you’re here, you know therapy can be an opportunity to improve your well-being. By collaborating with me, we can build an understanding of your struggles and work through embracing meaningful growth and change.
My twenty years of experience in the mental health field has taught me that the most significant change and healing comes from within the client, and can be fostered through a supportive therapeutic rapport. I have helped many people improve their quality of life related to trauma, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, OCD, LGBTQIA+ issues, anger problems, dissociative disorders, psychosis, family stress, social problems, interpersonal conflicts, grief and loss, ADHD, behavioral issues, technology addictions, academic issues, low self-esteem, periods of change, and safety issues. While having worked with clients at all stages of life, I have extensive experience helping youth and their families work through challenging behaviors and dynamics, and supporting older youth as they navigate college life. If you are here for yourself or a loved one, know that you have come to a helping place.
You can expect a warm, compassionate approach of person-centered therapy, pulling in other modalities as needed, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Gestalt Therapy, Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). My clinical experience in outpatient care, partial care, inpatient care, and school-based programs has given me a wide knowledge of mental health issues, assessment and treatment from which to provide meaningful care. Despite whatever struggles you may be experiencing, you have taken the first step towards working through them. Give me a call today to start this journey. I look forward to walking this path with you.
